Fully Interactive Scenarios
Our solution allows you to create 3D scenarios on the web for your customers. In these scenarios (cafes, airports, shops etc), language learners interact with virtual assistants (waiters, shop assistants etc) to achieve real life objectives.
How it works
You have control over what the virtual assistants will do in each scenario you create, based on what students say and do. You can focus on what you're good at :- creating meaningful interactions, knowing that animation, speech and basic behaviour are taken care of by RendezVu.
RendezVu allows Educators present a task-based approach to learning English. Whether you are using our reference content or creating interactive scenarios yourself, you will be allowing students to use their language skills to communicate with our virtual assistants (waiters, bank manager etc). For example, students in the café can order food and drink, those in the bank can withdraw cash. You can also provide students with the useful words and phrases they might need to carry out tasks. As they complete the set tasks, you can track their progress and view areas where students may need help.
Reference Content
You are free to modify/reuse any of our library of reference interactive scenarios to get you started.
- Vocabulary
By associating vocabulary with real situations, you provide learners with input that is relevant and thematically diverse.
- Grammar
Analysis of grammatical items is based on real interactions that have taken place in the world, therefore reflection on grammar is always associated with the communication of meaning.
Integration of skills
By reacting in real time, learners practise language skills which mirror real life situations (but with support). The skill of listening, for example, is not practised in isolation as it sometimes is in the classroom. Instead, listening is practised in the context of spoken exchanges. Furthermore, for students who are literate, writing tasks also entail reading so they can use writing to support the development of their speaking skills and speaking to support the development of their writing skills.
